Day 301 - A Year to Clear - Check In WEEK 43 - Supporting Release

Lesson 301: Check In WEEK 43 - Supporting Release

This week we were learning other ways of release. Because that’s what we’ve been learning all year, there was added ways to support release. I didn’t particularly like the “yoga” poses as they didn’t do much for me. I would probably get more use doing meditation. As for causing disappointment, I think it was a good way to detach from outcomes and it was a lesson of supporting our own truth. I personally haven’t been doing that well with the challenges in my life, so I haven’t been fully focused on what has been taught. I am in a cycle of trying to empower myself so I can tackle what I’m facing. I’ll see what the next week brings..

Lesson 297: Support Equals Release

Today is about absorbing this quote from a yoga style Svaroopa “Support equals release”. It promotes deep relaxation and letting go and Stephanie Bennett Vogt will be introducing some poses to us this week. It will support us in the clearing journey of letting go. Today we are to think about how we feel when we feel fully supported by others. We will embody it this week.

I think when I am supported by others, it makes me feel like I matter. I feel good that’s for sure. It makes me feel cared for and that it lightens me up because others believe in me. I think in those trying times, it proves who are really out to support you. It can become a real eye opener. Some people care and some don’t. I think when people truly support you, you uplifted. It’s nice to know that people are willing to be there for you when ever you need. I don’t think there is much more to say than that.

How do you feel when you are supported?

Day 261 - A Year to Clear - Depressed or Deep Rest?

Lesson 261: Depressed or Deep Rest?

One day a client oozed into my office, slumped into a chair, and said she was depressed—only she said it so slowly that I thought she said “deep rest.” In a way, this was accurate. Depression can be part of a general shutdown, meant to turn us toward healing. A tired body, a tired mind, a tired heart can’t—and shouldn’t—be passionate about anything but rest. So if you’re exhausted, care for yourself.
— Martha Beck

Today we are to take notice of something dragging us down and being aware of your own resistance. By acknowledging it, it starts to begin to release and then leads you towards rest within your being.

I can’t really think of something that was dragging me down today. I went to work and that was busy and fine, I then went to a meeting for my business logo and then I came home. Nothing really dragged me down and made me depressed. I think the only thing that has been on my mind lately is how to find time because I don’t seem to have enough of it. Everything in my life is going smoothly at the moment. Like I had a depressive state for a month or so, but I got myself out of it. I think the best thing I did for myself was being aware of it and taking steps to deal with it. I didn’t necessarily rest as this lesson suggests, but more so face what was causing my depression. This weekend I have a public holiday which means a longer weekend for me, so I intend to do not much on the Friday to rest a bit. Sometimes doing nothing is what’s needed to reset.

Are you resisting rest and allowing something to drag you down? Can you release it?

Day 256 - A Year to Clear - How to Create an Altar of Letting Go

Lesson 256: How to Create an Altar of Letting Go

Today we are to spend time with our altars of release. How does one make an altar of letting go? I will list out the method of Stephanie Bennett Vogt:

·         Find a quiet area in your home with a small table that you will be able to step away for a few minutes a day

·         Place a colourful cloth down and place your item or representation of what you want to release on this table

·         Light a candle and ask the Divine to hold space for you. you may call in God or angels if that’s what you believe in

·         Breathe in nice deep breaths and say “"May this_______________[thing, thought, aspect of myself, painful memory, relationship. . .] be fully released for the highest and best good of all concerned. And so it is. And so it shall be."

·         Notice your breathing and any emotions or feelings that come up. Nothing is right or wrong, just embrace what comes.

·         Keep visiting your altar daily. Keep practising the exercise and start to notice changes in your life for the better.

·         Once you feel that the release has happened, remove the altar. You may very well remove the item from your life or notice a bad habit be gone.

The words spoken in the steps for a release altar is essentially a spell with good intention. I think if you believe that you can live without that object, beliefs or bad habits, it allows for more openness. Release those things that don’t serve you so you can start living your best life. What have you got to lose really?

Lesson 255: Altars Alter

We all use altars for moments of peace, to honour a memory, to serve a purpose, for spiritual purposes or even just simply to be a reflection of you. We tend to move them around, freshen them up or move them along. Today we are to find a space in our homes where we can spend a few minutes a day. We are to think of an item that can represent something that we are in need of release – whether it be an object, memory, piece of clothing, maybe some words written on paper.

I can’t think of anything physical that I want to release right now, so I am going to release some bad habits of mine. What I am going to do is write those bad habits on a piece of paper and set them by the window.  I feel like the window is a gateway to release. It’s open to receive but it’s open for release. My bad habits that I want to release is:

·         Procrastination towards my goals

·         Laziness

·         Messiness

I think that’s what I need to release at this point in time. Been letting go of negative thoughts and cutting cords with ex-people through visualisation, and now I feel like I need a bigger push towards my business goals and life dreams. The only way to do that is to release these bad habits I have and keep catapulting myself forward.

What is something you are in need of release of?
