Lesson 248: Do What You Love, Love What You Do

Let yourself be silently drawn by the stronger pull of what you really love
— Rumi

Today we are to make a list of things of experiences, people and places that you love. Include on the list anywhere or anything that you’ve been wanting to do or experience. Realise that by creating this list how much love is around you.

I love dancing. I sometimes just dance at home with no real professional movement. I find I am so happy when I am just moving about.

I also love going to live music. I especially love the atmosphere of the crowd whenever I see an artist just belting out tunes. I like that in the crowd there is no judgement. I like the feeling that we are all free to enjoy a common love.

I like the connection I establish as I go further into my own spiritual development. There are so many stories to share and learn from.

I love the rapper Machine Gun Kelly as an inspirational figure to me. How he can overcome homelessness with a baby on the way and just overcome his circumstances to pursue his dream.

I love my family and friends. I think I’ve got to a point where I know when to recognise toxic people, so I steer clear of them.

I love travelling and experiencing someone else’s culture. I like to see how others live and just experience being in another place.

I also like simple things like watching movies, eating out at restaurants on occasion and having a drink with friends.

If anything, this lesson has reminded me to have gratitude. We forget how fortunate we are in what we have and it’s a reminder to see all the good things we have in our lives.

Day 245 - A Year to Clear - Check In WEEK 35 + VIDEO - Raising Joy

Lesson 245: Check In WEEK 35 + VIDEO - Raising Joy

This week focused on the ripple effect – the way happiness from self or others can radiate into our immediate environments to raise the vibration. There was look at our spaces to deal with a section of our homes that felt loved and one that felt unloved, in order to see the differences. We all have the ability to influence the mood of a room whether it’s just within the home or the places you visit. We can raise the vibration at any point and if we are feeling a bit low, ask ourselves why we might be feeling that way and to notice if it stems from the room that you are in. As part of the close of this week, we’re left with this video as a reminder that we can raise the energy in ourselves or others by finding something simple such as music, to help us out of a funk and transform the space around us.

Day 241 - A Year to Clear - Happily Grooving

Lesson 241: Happily Grooving

It seems obvious that your closest friends might influence your mood, but the study found that. . .the happiness of a friend of a friend of a friend boosts your chance of being happy
— Carolyn Y. Johnson

So that quote came from an article that was in the British Medical Journal. It tells of the notion that someone else’s happiness mood can be contagious. It goes back to what we’ve been learning in this clearing course all year – we are a direct correlation to the surrounding environment we’re in. If we create a safe, happy environment, then we feel good in our energy. The idea of this quote as well, is that there may be energy floating around in the air. Someone in your building may be setting off good vibes and that reaches you, so you’re in a good mood. You might find you wake up good for no particular reason, maybe because a friend or family member received good news, so you’re tapping into that. This lesson sort of ties in with the other posts I do for my spiritual awakening course – that through connection and Oneness, we’re all intermixing energy that can influence each other. If you feel happy for no reason, ride the wave and spread it out. You might not realise who you might be helping today just by putting a smile on your face, looking confident or being encouraging towards others.

Lesson 240: What Brings You Joy?

Today is simple – think about what makes you feel complete joy. List them down as a reminder that you can always raise the vibration in yourself whenever you need. They don’t have to be complicated either. They simply need to be what brings you joy.

Things that bring me joy:

·         Drinking tea

·         Watching movies or TV series

·         Dancing

·         Meditation

·         Sleeping

·         Being at the beach

·         Listening and chilling to music

·         Going to gigs of my favourite artists

·         Eating yummy food

·         Going out for a nice meal

·         Karaoke

·         Travelling to a new country to see the culture

Those are probably the main things. What did you come up with?

Lesson 147: Check In WEEK 21 - Cultivating Ease

The week’s message was very much how we can approach ease. We can relax and feel peace and joy if we so choose. Today we are to think of ease, peace and joy as distinct energy and describe what their main differences would be. How does each one feel in the body and how do you embrace them.

I personally feel like peace is a balance and calming state within yourself. Like nothing can bother you as you feel like everything will be okay. It’s an acceptance.

Ease is a state of relaxation. Like you’ve gotten relief from your anxiety and stress and you just need to take a moment away from the situation.

Joy for me is a state of happiness and being. It’s the high you get from life from various experiences and situations that you feel extremely happy.

With any of those feelings, I can a sense of the weight is off my shoulders. You can set aside your worries if you try and just embrace the calm that you can create. Don’t let the mind take over and just feel peaceful. To me, it’s about telling yourself that everything will be okay and I find that it always works out.
